With the MOOSE 3 series, the release cycle will be much faster and the
changes more incremental.
MOOSE 3.0.1 is already being feature frozen. It will include: -
- Beta version of MooseGUI including neuronal model support

- Cross-compartmental reactions including stochastic reactions.

- 3-D visualization support, MOOGLI.
-
- Additional tutorials and Cookbook entries.

Other ongoing efforts include MPI-based parallelization, a GPU project,
and more structured multiscale model definitions.
